COTA combines fast direction changes through Turns 3–6, heavy braking into Turn 12, slower traction zones and a long back straight. Teams need aerodynamic efficiency, stable braking and strong tyre management. Pirelli have brought the C2 Hard, C3 Medium and C4 Soft tyres. Wear rather than graining could be a major factor, while the C2 may make a one-stop race strategy possible. ⚫ MERCEDES F1 — TITLE PRESSURE Kimi Antonelli arrives in Austin with a mathematical chance to seal the F1 World Championship. FP2 should tell us much more about Mercedes' long-run pace and whether George Russell can keep the title fight alive. 🔵 MAX VERSTAPPEN + RED BULL Max Verstappen arrives after consecutive Grand Prix victories in Malaysia and Singapore. Can Red Bull maintain that momentum at COTA? We’ll be watching Max’s race pace, tyre life and balance through the high-speed first sector. 🔴 FERRARI F1 — HAMILTON + LECLERC Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc need Ferrari to combine strong cornering performance with enough straight-line speed for Austin. FP2 is crucial for understanding Ferrari’s race pace and tyre behaviour over a full stint. 🧡 McLAREN F1 — NEW COTA UPGRADES McLaren have brought upgrades aimed at improving braking reliability and performance, alongside small floor changes. FP2 will show whether they help Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri recover performance after difficult recent races. 📊 F1 LIVE TIMING + MINI TRACK • F1 Live Timing • Mini track visuals • Position changes • Sector-by-sector analysis • Tyres and pit stops • Long-run race pace • Qualifying simulations • Team radio reaction • Tony Craig F1 Live commentary 👇 F1 LIVE CHAT Who tops FP2?
