But Ferrari appears to be the exception. Horner has now indicated he would be prepared to drop that requirement for the chance to work at Maranello, describing Ferrari as the dream. That does NOT mean Ferrari have offered Horner the job or that Fred Vasseur is leaving. But it is the clearest indication yet that Horner would seriously consider Ferrari if the opportunity emerged. 🇺🇸 CADILLAC RAID F1’S BIGGEST TEAMS Cadillac have strengthened their technical leadership with three major hires. Former Red Bull chief designer Craig Skinner, who worked on the championship-winning RB19, joins as Chief Development Engineer. Former Aston Martin deputy technical chief Eric Blandin becomes Head of Aerodynamics, while Tim Lean joins as Chief Engineer for Aerodynamics Modelling and Simulation after spells with McLaren, Red Bull and Ferrari. Cadillac are not hanging around. Are they quietly building a technical superteam? 🔴 EVEN BRIATORE IS ROOTING FOR FERRARI Flavio Briatore says a winning Ferrari is good for the whole of Formula 1 and that Fred Vasseur’s work deserves respect. Ferrari’s last Drivers’ Championship came in 2007 and their last Constructors’ title in 2008. Briatore says Ferrari remain competitive, but something always seems to be missing. ⚙️ PUSH TO PASS COMING TO F1? Audi boss Mattia Binotto says a Push to Pass style overtaking system is “on the menu” as teams, manufacturers and the FIA discuss the future V8 engine regulations targeted for 2030 or 2031. The exact system is still undecided. Options could involve boost pressure, electrical deployment or another overtaking aid. 🏁 BAKU QUALIFYING SHOCKS George Russell takes Azerbaijan GP pole with a 1:42.526, ahead of Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri. Isack Hadjar puts Red Bull fourth, Lando Norris is fifth, Lewis Hamilton sixth and Max Verstappen only eighth. That leaves a fascinating Azerbaijan Grand Prix grid — and Baku rarely stays predictable for long. 🚨 F1 GRANDSTAND AZERBAIJAN GP RACE WATCHALONG — SATURDAY 11:30 UK 👇 JOIN THE DEBATE Would you put Horner in charge at Ferrari?
