George Russell has suggested the 2026 Formula 1 title is now Kimi Antonelli’s to lose, but Antonelli is not taking the bait. Kimi says he is not thinking about the championship yet, is going race by race, and has nothing to lose. That is a huge response. Russell may be trying to shift pressure onto the young Mercedes star, but Antonelli looks calm, confident and completely unmoved. Is this the start of Mercedes mind games? 🐂 RED BULL’S VERSTAPPEN WARNING Helmut Marko has made a massive Max Verstappen claim. Red Bull would reportedly lose 18 seconds per race if Verstappen left the team. That shows just how much Red Bull still depend on Max, especially during a season where reliability, performance and future rumours are all under pressure. If Verstappen is the difference between Red Bull fighting and Red Bull fading, every exit rumour becomes even bigger. ⚖️ ALPINE MONACO APPEAL TWIST Alpine have cleared the first hurdle in their Monaco GP appeal. FOM has admitted an error after the pitlane speed measuring system was found to be inaccurate and overestimated Pierre Gasly’s speed. Gasly crossed the line third but was demoted to seventh after two five-second penalties. Now the FIA stewards will review whether those penalties should be rescinded. This could become a major F1 rules controversy. 🟢 HONDA PRESSURE ON ASTON MARTIN Aston Martin’s big Adrian Newey plan may already be facing pressure. Honda could now become a major factor in whether Newey’s vision works, with Aston Martin trying to build a serious future contender. Newey can design the car, but if the power unit situation does not deliver, Aston’s recovery could become much harder.
