Hamilton has called taking Ferrari pole at Monza the ultimate dream. Can Ferrari find the final few tenths before qualifying? ⭐ MERCEDES HIT BACK IN FP2 George Russell topped Friday’s second practice with a 1:22.559, beating Leclerc by just 0.120s. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli was third, only 0.021s behind Leclerc, despite focusing heavily on race preparation because he will start Sunday’s Italian GP from the back following his power-unit change. Mercedes looked seriously quick on Friday. Can Russell turn that pace into pole? 🟠 McLAREN READY TO ATTACK Lando Norris finished fourth in FP2 with Oscar Piastri sixth as McLaren remained within striking distance of Ferrari and Mercedes. Monza is all about low drag, tow management, braking stability and straight-line speed. FP3 is McLaren’s final opportunity to unlock more performance before qualifying. 🐂 RED BULL SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS Max Verstappen returned to the Red Bull for FP2 after sitting out FP1 and finished ninth while struggling with the balance of the car.
