Ferrari have never publicly confirmed the exact length of Hamilton’s deal, allowing experts and fans to speculate about how long he has left in red. The latest discussion suggests the accepted version of Hamilton’s contract may have been wrong all along. If Hamilton has more control or security than many believed, Ferrari’s 2027 picture changes completely. WOLFF WARNS RUSSELL Toto Wolff has sent George Russell a clear warning after his Austrian GP win. Russell went from pressure to race winner in one weekend, but Wolff says F1 teams and drivers must not swing emotionally between panic and celebration. With Antonelli still leading, Russell has to stay calm, keep scoring and avoid turning every result into a state of emergency. MCLAREN STRAIGHT-LINE PROBLEM McLaren are trying to understand why they are losing to Mercedes on the straights despite using the same power unit. Andrea Stella says part of the gap is straight-line performance, with drag, energy deployment and power-unit use under investigation. That is a major issue before Silverstone, where efficiency and battery use could be critical. FERRARI SILVERSTONE HOPE Ferrari had a difficult Austrian GP, but Silverstone may suit them better. Austria exposed tyre degradation and setup compromises, but Silverstone demands high-speed stability and aerodynamic balance — areas where Ferrari have shown stronger form. That gives Hamilton and Leclerc a real chance to bounce back at the British GP. HONDA UPGRADE TARGET Honda have also revealed a target date for a major engine upgrade. That matters for Aston Martin, Red Bull and the 2026 power-unit fight because every development step could change the order. BRITISH GP PREVIEW Now attention turns to Silverstone. Russell arrives with momentum, Hamilton returns to his home race with Ferrari pressure, McLaren need answers, Ferrari need a response, and Mercedes look like the team everyone is chasing.
