Championship leader Kimi Antonelli recovered from a disrupted day to finish second in FP2, 0.552s behind Russell. Mercedes looked strong over one lap, but Practice 3 is where we find out whether that advantage survives the final overnight setup changes. Friday is forecast to be cooler and much windier, with light showers possible late in FP3. 🔥 RED BULL BRING THEIR FINAL MAJOR 2026 UPGRADE Red Bull have five declared updates in Baku, led by a revised floor alongside sidepod and mirror-area changes. Laurent Mekies says this is most likely Red Bull’s final significant package of 2026, with both Verstappen and Isack Hadjar running the same specification. Verstappen finished third in FP2 but also reported poor ride from the RB22. Can Red Bull find the final tenths before qualifying? 🔴 FERRARI + McLAREN HAVE WORK TO DO Charles Leclerc finished fourth in FP2 with Lewis Hamilton fifth, while Lando Norris was sixth. Baku has traditionally rewarded confidence under braking and straight-line efficiency, so FP3 will be crucial for finding the final qualifying setup. 💥 ASTON MARTIN FACE BACK-OF-GRID STARTS Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll are set for major grid penalties after Aston Martin fitted fresh Honda power unit components beyond their season allocations.
