Hart has worked within Verstappen’s engineering group for several seasons and previously served as a performance engineer before moving into a wider role covering both Red Bull cars. 👀 WHO IS TOM HART? Hart is regarded as a calm, analytical and highly respected engineer. His performance-engineering background means he already understands Verstappen’s telemetry, setup preferences, energy deployment and working methods. He is not completely new to the race-engineer position. Hart previously guided Verstappen during selected practice sessions and has gained further experience through Red Bull testing and filming-day running. 👀 WHEN WILL THE CHANGE HAPPEN? The exact handover date has not been finalised. Lambiase is due to join McLaren as Chief Racing Officer no later than 2028, with Hart expected to step into the role more regularly before Lambiase’s Red Bull departure. Reports indicate Hart could become the full-time race engineer from the beginning of 2027, depending on Lambiase’s final working arrangements. 👀 WILL VERSTAPPEN EVER WORK WITH HART?
